My Summer School Diary:
Sunday- First Day (for me)
For our first lesson, we did dance! Our first game was a game called “Change the Pattern” when a person goes out of the room and the teacher picks a person to change the pattern, and then the person comes back into the room. They start the pattern and when they are not looking, the other person changes the pattern and the other person has to guess who is changing the pattern.
Monday
Dance- Chariots of Fire, another song which is a comedy dance and the Plague dance.
Tuesday
We did Musicals! We sang songs from Hairspray and Oliver and we sometimes sang different part of a song at the same time.
Wednesday
We did dance! Year 11 workshop we did a war dance to “Feeling Good”! I really enjoyed it; we also did a dance that was amazing! I thought it went really well!
Thursday
We did musicals again and we just rehearsed the songs. We also did the opening ceremony dance using flags and fake flames.
Friday
In media, we started to write our newspaper article about summer school at KTS. We also did drama and Mrs Cowan filmed us doing “When I grow up”, and we also practiced Ernie (in this case known as Will).
Saturday
We rehearsed all of the things that we learned in dance and drama and Theatre production, also in dance we put the war dance to a new song Hero and another song called “We can be Heroes” which are linked together.
Thank you and I hope to see you at KTS!!! Lots of Love, Carmen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
